KELLY — I’ve spent my career as a songwriter, producer, director and Emmy-nominated filmmaker looking for fresh ways to tell stories. Here’s one I think belongs to KOA. COUNTRY ROADS CALL US HOME. The idea is to travel across North America from KOA to KOA, following the roads, meeting the people, discovering the places and telling the stories along the way. Each stop becomes its own little movie — with a soundtrack, a movie poster and a Story Scroll — as one larger journey continues to unfold. And every journey needs somewhere to lead. Our destination: KOA Grand Canyon. Because whether it’s a family pulling an RV, somebody chasing a road they’ve never traveled, or a storyteller wondering what’s around the next bend— EVERYONE NEEDS A DESTINATION. Story Scroll is simply the vehicle that lets us tell the journey in a fresh way, one stop at a time. I’ve created this piece to give you a feel for what COUNTRY ROADS CALL US HOME could become. Not a presentation about the idea. The beginning of the trip. — John
